We think that many people are interested in exploring Jesus. We also understand that finding a place to really explore can be difficult. Our own personal explorations have often been sidetracked by the arrogance or impracticality of the people we asked to help us explore. Honestly, we didn't much want to be like some of those people either!

We Did Something About it
A group of explorers decided to create a place to explore...a place that's comfortable, a place where the more revolutionary, different, and compelling parts of Jesus the man's character that aren't really talked about much in church can be re-presented in an interesting, thought provoking and culturally familiar manner. We call this place Jesus...A Re-presentation (JAR).

JAR isn't a church or a building
JAR is a collection of ideas. It's the idea that Jesus deals with each of us uniquely and is interested in our exploration of him. It's the idea that followers of Jesus should be open to honest dialogue with those who are exploring. It's the idea that no one knows everything and that a thoughtful exploration of Jesus sometimes leads to a humble acknowledgment of this fact. It's the idea that the circumstances of our lives brings into question the reality and relevance of Jesus.

Ultimately it's the idea that Jesus is always working to re-present himself and his truth claims to each of us and to our world. It is our hope that JAR will empower and inspire you to explore unlike before.
